Our Coffee Barn

I am making a run to pick up coffee and shipping supplies today. I thought a quick email update about Presidents Day shipping is in order. UPS and Spee Dee will be shipping on Monday, USPS will NOT be open for mail.  This just means that we will roast coffee as usual Monday but any USPS shipping orders will be shipped on Tuesday, UPS and SpeeDee will ship Monday as usual.

The first bag is already almost gone and I am picking up another bag today!

The sales of this Progresso was also VERY good and I am getting more today too!

Guatemala Antigua

 

As Green As It Gets supply is too low for me to take anymore from them as payment for doing their custom roasting.  So I am getting a Guatemala Antigua from Cafe Imports today also.  This coffee will have the same basic cupping profile and might even cup better, I will be able to tell once I have roasted a batch or two.

Our Live Help Sessions are proving a VERY useful tool for both you the customer and us!  If you have a question ask!  The Live Help will be open a lot more now.  Even when I am in the office doing web site work I will keep it open, it may take a little time for a reply, if I have stepped away for a coffee break or something.

New Ustream video recorded and saved as the video to watch when you visit our site. It’s an impromtu recorded from just a couple notes, but it turned out pretty good!  The audio is awesome, I used a headset with a decent mic on it.

Our coffee inventory is a little low right now.  January was a good month and we hope to be able to do just as good this month!  I am hoping to make a coffee run to Cafe Imports on Thursday afternoon, to replenish the inventory.  As Green As It Gets is very low right now too so I can not buy their Guatemala Antigua until the new crop arrives in March.  We will be storing most, if not all of that crop right here at Our Coffee Barn!

I plan on getting more Tanzania Peaberry, Mexico Chiapas, Brazil Fazenda Progresso, Guatemala Antigua or Huehuetenango, Sumatra Mandheling or Ethiopia Sidamo and maybe a Costa Rica or Colombia.  Depending on how our check book looks tomorrow.  Please remember we are just a Mom and Pop with no “Parent” company, we are parents, but no parent company owns us.  We are running a 1-2 week inventory level now, trying to build it back up to no more than 10 different varieties of coffee listed.

I want to apologize to everyone for the store not working right this afternoon.  I did some database changes for the admin area so I could add the options into the new coffee listings.  I should know better than to assume all is well and then send out a big email notification about the new coffees.  I have it fixed as far as I can tell.
