Organic El Salvador SHG, Finca Monterey, Bourbon, Rain Forest Alliance

Wow! now thats a long name!

Now to know what all that means.

Organic. The coffee is certified organic. However we are not a certified Organic Roaster yet.  This doesn’t mean we can’t sell Organic coffee we just can’t sell it as “Certified Organic”.

The SHG is just short for “Strictly High Grown”.

Finca Monterey, is the farm where it grew.

Bourbon, is a variety of coffee tree.

Rain Forest Alliance means just that, it is certified by the Rain Forest Alliance!

I just roasted my first test batch of this on Tuesday night, I drank a pot yesterday and now this morning I am just starting my second days test pot.

If you are a fan of Central American coffees you won’t be dissapointed with this Organic El Salvador SHG!  Full flavored, bright and crisp! A VERY smooth velvety thick body with a nice chocolate, dare I say “berry” finish.

Watch our sites stores for the listing later this week.

Baratza Virtuoso Grinder and Chemex used in USBC

I uploaded a video clip of this to You Tube also.  Here is the You Tube video embedded into this post.

I just had to get a picture of this!  We sell them both and what better endorsment than to have them both used by a Barista in the USBC Semi Finals.  He used some fresh ground coffee drip brewed in the Chemex pint coffee brewer in the signature drink category.

Hottop Coffee Roaster at SCAA

We got to meet the Hottop crew at the SCAA Convention!  Michael was GREAT a VERY nice man to do business with!  I hope to have a very long business relationship with Hottop.  Here are a few pictures, and a video of Michael unpacking a Hottop Coffee Roaster, I took this video to show just how well they are packed.
