Pre Roasted Coffee Section

We are changing the Day Old section to the Pre Roasted section on our retail store.  We want to pass on some savings to current customers and hopefully add some new customers too!

As I roast this week I will be adding roasted coffee to this section, but we will not have our entire coffee offerings listed there.  Just the best sellers.

Watch for future updates.

May Coffee Specials

We are listing our Mocha Java Blend as our May Coffee of the Month.  We truly LOVE this blend!   As our 5th bestseller overall and our 2nd best selling fresh roasted coffee a LOT of you must like it too!  I don’t think we go more than a few days without a bag of Mocha Java in our coffee basket on our counter in our kitchen!  Drip brewed, Vacuum brewed or through our Saeco Easy Super Auto Espresso Machine it’s great anyway you want to brew it!

Mocha Java Blend

Fresh Roasted Coffee Beans

Old World Mocha Java Blend

1 Pound Fresh Roasted Coffee Beans

The original blend! Mocha is, in fact, the port city where Yemeni beans were loaded into wooden hulled sailing ships manned by low land sailors coming from the island of Java, hence Mocha-Java blend. This is a must try coffee, the funky earth tones of the Yemen Mocha do nothing but compliment the bright clean crisp Java. I recommend this blend to all coffee lovers and no this is not a flavored coffee. Give it a try and you will see why the Worlds Oldest coffee blend is such a huge part of the modern coffee world.

This blend is 50/50 Yemen Mocca and Java Estate.

This is the “Old World” blend. We do not use the cheaper Ethiopian coffees that most of the “Big” national roasters use, we use the Original Yemeni coffees just like the first sailers did.

This Mocha Java Blend is also my wife Barb’s favorite!

It is also on sale in a 10 pound bag of green coffee beans and on our Wholesale store too.

Coffee Specials for April

I have been a little slow in getting new pages posted here as well as not getting a monthly newsletter Emailed to all of our customers.  Raising 4 kids, running a growing business out of our home, roasting coffee 3 times a week as well as me working as a carpenter during the day doesn’t leave much time for website work!

I picked up a “new yergacheffe” when Cafe Imports ran out of the Ethiopia Yergacheffe I usually bought. I brought a sample to a new coffee shop in Amery WI called Bugga’s Bistro and her customers LOVE IT!  It is now a standard coffee that she orders!

OK, enough about how we got the coffee here is the link and description from our sites retail “estore”.

Fresh Roasted Coffee Beans

Ethiopia Limu Gera Special Prep

1 Pound Fresh Roasted Coffee Beans

This is our latest new origin from Ethiopia! Limu is a region in the district of Gera in southwestern Ethiopia.

This Limu cups similar to a Yergacheffe but to me it had deeper chocolaty undertones similar to a Harrar. I have personaly added this coffee to my list of coffees I try to have in my kitchen for my everyday coffee, yes, a coffee roaster brews coffee every morning at home just like most of you!

Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. The regal coffees from this country are deserving of such a heritage and stand up to the calling. Referring to Ethiopia as a country of single origin, however, is misleading. Coffees from the different growing regions vary so incredibly that they do not even seem to be from the same planet! Ethiopian Yergacheffes are amazing and unique coffees. Yergacheffe is a town in the Sidamo region of Ethiopia, and the coffees from this region will surprise you with their floral and tangerine notes. In a stellar Yergacheffe, even the grounds have an exotic tropical toasted coconut aroma that will knock you over with its charms. Sometimes Coffee Joe’s will try to compare Yergacheffes to other coffees, such as a bright Central American or an exciting Kenyan, just south of the border from Ethiopia, but there truly is not a real comparison.

Panama Boquete Roasted Coffee Beans
Normally $10.58 Now $9.49

Panamanian coffees are under appreciated and inexpensive in my less than humble opinion. The coffees from the Boquete region of Panama are subtly bright, well balanced, with fruit, and dark cocoa tones.

This description is by Andrew at Cafe Imports, I can only hope to be lucky enough to see Panama someday.

The forested mountains of Boquete provide one of the most beautiful growing conditions in the world. As you approach the finca, you ride on a single lane road down in the valley with vertical cliffs covered with flowers and trees. The finca itself is misted in clouds, with guava and tropical fruit trees intermingled among the wild coffee trees. In the middle of the finca is a five-hundred year old tree that was just a sapling when Christopher Columbus was just landing on the shores of the Americas. As you walk under a twenty-foot coffee tree, you look up and see sleeping fruit bats among the bright red coffee cherries. It is an experience like no other, the sight of the tree alone about brought me to tears, and this was just one of many fincas in the Boquete region of Panama.

Ethiopia Harrar Roasted Coffee Beans
Normally $10.99 Now $9.79

Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. The regal coffees from this country are deserving of such a heritage and stand up to the calling. Another amazing growing region within Ethiopia is the Harrar region. Harrars are wild coffees. What’s a wild coffee, you ask? The term is a fancy name for dry process or natural coffee where the coffee fruit dries on the bean, imparting the flavors of compote fruit and dark rich chocolate. Harrars are this and more! You will taste blueberry jam, cocoa, and maybe even a touch of cinnamon and cardamom in these amazing coffees. Coffee holds a special place in Ethiopian culture that transcends that of the coffees from other origin countries. The majority of the crop does not even leave the country and is drunk with great ceremony by the Ethiopian people. This is in contrast to other origins where coffee is a cash crop, with the best being exported, and the dregs kept locally and drunk unceremoniously with plenty of milk and sugar to choke it down.

Farmers Morning Blend Roasted Coffee Beans
Normally $9.96 Now $8.99

This is our “Signature” blend, it has stayed our number one selling blend now for almost 5 years! This truly is a coffee that everyone will enjoy!

A classic breakfast blend! Wonderful Aroma with a rich sweetness and a hint of smokiness. This blend is 1/3 Mexico Chiapas, 1/3 Guatemala Antigua and 1/3 Brasil Serra Negra roasted to a regular roast level.

Raging Bull Espresso Blend
Normally $10.44 Now $9.49

This is a very bold but also smooth coffee that is not for the faint hearted! Very full bodied but roasted just dark enough to smooth out the whole blend.

I have been trying to think of a new name for this blend so I don’t scare away anyone, but I really like the Raging Bull name! Let’s just say it comes on like Raging Bull but then calms down to a Gentle Bull.

This is an African, Brasilian and an Asian coffee, dark roasted to give it just enough kick to satisfy any espresso or drip brew fan!
