Hello everyone.  I was down with the flu today and did not even get out of the house.  The green coffee bean orders and equipment orders were done by Barb today.  All roasted orders will be roasted on Tuesday the 24th, as long as I keep getting better.

I have read a few comments on Reddit and someone there says that we sold their email to spammers.  We are just a small Mom and Pop business that really can’t afford that kind of business practice.  If you think that spam is coming from us please let us know before you start posting bad comments about us!!!

When I picked up coffee last Thursday, I took over an hour of video with Jamin, he is the quality Control guy at Cafe Imports.  I hope to have a couple posted to our Youtube channel by mid week.  I need to get them edited down to a a few minutes each.

I will be starting the roaster up around 7:00 AM (in 40 minutes)  Get your fresh roasted coffee orders in before then to ensure it gets roasted today!  Calls will go to voicemail when I am roasting,  I will return calls when done roasting, it looks like I will be done roasting around noon today.

Please excuse the “not done yet look” of the index page, http://ourcoffeebarn.com/ I am trying a little different site layout.  The index page is now a seperate page from this blog, and is a work in progress, I need a header image and background design for starters maybe even a whole new look!  Keep coming back to see what’s new.

Having a stand alone index page will allow me to have the newest blog posts show as the blogs index page.  I will be able to post when I am starting to roast coffee here as well as just posts about what’s going on here at Our Coffee Barn.  The term blog came from weblog, that to me, means a log of what the writer is doing and thinking about for the world to read.  I am going to try and use the blog for just that, to get info to you, our customers about what is going on at Our Coffee Barn,  I’m busy enough already but a new post or 2 a day is pretty easy.

I will put some screen shots of the new checkout page here, along with an explanation.

First off, I want to apoligize for the State missing from a lot of the address book entries.   Rest assured, as far as I know, this was the only info that was lost during this upgrade process.

 If during checkout you do not see your State listed in your address, please edit the address by using the buttons.  A small window will open to edit your address book.  It is very easy.  Enter the coupon code “statemissing” and get $1 off any 1 order.  If you have a few address’s that need changing let us know.

Now let’s just start from the top and work our way down.  The next screen shot is if you go to checkout without signing in.

Here is a screen shot if you are signed in and click on checkout.  Notice the shipping price is in the shopping cart at the top of the page.  You can also edit quantities or delete items from your cart here.

Next we have the Payment info box and the total as well as the continue button.  Just enter payment info, confirm the billing address for the card being used is shown in the billing address, and click continue to complete the order.  All on the same page!
