What Do You Think of TrustPilot

I want to ask you our customers your opinion on TrustPilot.  I found them to be a small but growing company based in Denmark that bases all of their business on trust and a safe and secure web site.  I got a rather disturbing email from a customer complaining about us using a company from Denmark and I should use a US based one.  I tried to find one that will integrate with my web site to no avail, the ones I did find wanted too much money for me to use them.  So I went with TrustPilot and have had pretty good success so far.

Here is the text from the email I got:

I don’t understand take this survey and help us out. Yeah right out of biz.  The web site if from  Denmark I’m from the UNITED STATES, A REAL AMERICAN. Why would you have this site . Its join up get you’re your password to get in . If I would have know, The web site to be from Denmark I would never put my info In there. So you Pete must think , all of us who buy your product need you to out source a web site for info. What wrong with a American company I’m done  buying from your un-American store. If I wanted to support Denmark I buy from them. Sad just sad .,I use to buy 10 pounds at a time.

                                                                      Cant believe It

And here is my reply to the email:

I am not trying to outsource anything other than a website rating company.  The following may not be the response you wanted but email is so impersonal.  I felt compelled to respond. Reread your email too.  Your point would have been taken with a little less bashing of me and my business.

I am a US Army Vet that has served my country and I was assigned to a few task forces that were partnered with the Dutch (Holland) Marines. I am very proud of a marksmanship badge that I earned from the German army while stationed in Germany, the Schutzeneer, it’s the hardest of any armies to earn and I was 1 of only 2 perfect scores that day.  Just showing how much the US Army combined with other countries, or at least we used to, before all the unilateral strikes we took against Iraq,  not that that was wrong just different policy.

If you feel that me being a US Army vet that is now the Commander of my American Legion Post 227 here in Spring Valley WI is a non US friendly business then thats too bad.  I served and am still serving MY Country the United States of America as an American Legion member, what are you truly doing for your country now?  Bad mouthing my business is NOT the right thing to do!!!

The business rating companies in the US want way too much money for a SMALL Mom and Pop business to afford.  They only want the big box brand named companies, I looked and looked for a US site that has the same as this one. if you can recomend one that offers a free trial and then a low monthly fee than I will switch before my trial is up with TrustPilot.  I may stop it anyway,  I just felt they desrved a shot at the little bit I can afford.

So what do you think?  Do I keep the TrustPilot or get rid of it?
Pleae let me know!

Pete

Roasting Coffee Live! Video Feed of Fresh Roasted Coffee Beans

The live feed on the Roaster Channel will be up as soon as I get to the barn to start my roasting for the day.  It looks like about 21 0r 22 batches today so far, too many single pound batches, but that’s why I am doing this feed and really trying to build our fresh roasted coffee sales as well as the green coffee bean sales for the home coffee roasters.  The TTTR roasted coffee special will also be available, just stop by the Roaster Channel for more info, stop and chat a little while you are there too!

If you love our coffee and know someone who also loves great coffee please tell them about us!  It is worth a $5 gift voucher for you, towards your next purchase!  Just have them mention you in the comments box during checkout and we will email you a link to add the voucher to your account.

The next Talk To The Roaster show will be recorded tomorrow night on the Roaster Channel at 7:00PM Central.  Be sure to stop by at 7:00 because the show only lasts about 20 to 30 minutes.  The topic will mainly be about the cupping notes in the descriptions and perhaps a little rambling on about “Cowboy” coffee and the coffee of the 1880′s to the 1920′s or so.  I had a couple phone conversations about long term storage of green coffee beans yesterday, that got me thinking about that era.

Here is the show I recorded last Thursday.

Save Money With Our Coffee Barns Specialty Grade Coffee

Save Money With Our Coffee Barns Specialty Grade Coffee

If you are like hundreds of thousands of people across the country you enjoy a nice cup of fresh coffee each and every morning. Indeed, taking trips to Starbucks or any other famous coffee chain can cause your monthly coffee bill to run up into the hundreds of dollars.

In this article you will learn how much money you can save on a per-cup basis when you purchase Our Coffee Barns Specialty Grade Coffee and brew it at home.

To illustrate our examples we will use the following the following simple equation: 0.0225 x cost per pound of coffee = cost per cup. This assumes that you are using 0.36 ounces of coffee per cup based on the SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association of America) standards. Also, we are assuming a purchase of coffee at one pound per bag with 16 ounces per pound.

Brazil Mogiana Fresh Roasted Coffee Beans

This coffee variant is also known as Natural Yellow Bourbon Pocos de Caldas originating from the coffee farms of Brazil. Only three small
farms located in the Pocos de Caldas Region of Mogiana in Brazil cultivate and produce this sweet, berry and clean natural coffee beans. The cost of 1 pound
of Brazil Mogiana is $12.66. So if you make one cup of coffee which uses 0.36 ounces of coffee divided by 16 multiplied by its selling cost $12.66, your cost per cup is just $0.28. See the math below:

Rate per Ounce: $12.66 (cost per pound) / 16 (ounces per pound) = $0.79 (79 cents) cost per ounce
Rate per Cup: 0.36 (ounce of coffee used per cup) / 16 (ounces per pound) = 0.0225 x $12.66 = $0.28 (28 cents) cost per cup – Now that’s an incredible bargain!

Brazil Serra Negra Fresh Roasted Coffee Beans

This coffee bean is high quality with lower price value and is best used for cappuccino or espresso blends. Its features include low acidity, soft and nutty texture with nice bitter-sweet and chocolaty flavor. Yet another fantastic coffee which we offer for just 28 cents per cup. Here’s the math:

Rate per Ounce: $12.31 (cost per pound) / 16 (ounces per pound) = $0.77 (77 cents) cost per ounce
Rate per Cup: 0.36 (ounce of coffee used per cup) / 16 (ounces per pound) = 0.0225 x $12.31 = $0.2769, round up to $.028 cents (28 cents) cost per cup. Again, great savings on a delicious cup of delicious coffee.

El Salvador Sierra Nevada Fresh Roasted Coffee Beans

Gourmet coffee enthusiasts highly prefer this excellent coffee variant with its subdued acidity and softer flavor. Its other features include creamy body, sweet, chocolaty, floral and ripe textures that make a perfect gourmet cup. With our El Salvador beans you are getting a high-end coffee for only 30 cents per cup. Here are the numbers:

Rate per Ounce: $13.57 (cost per pound) / 16 (ounces per pound) = $0.85 (85 cents) cost per ounce
Rate per Cup: 0.36 (ounce of coffee used per cup) / 16 (ounces per pound) = 0.0225 x $13.57 = $.030 (30 cents) cost per cup

Thus, the monthly savings you will enjoy when purchasing Our Coffee Barns Specialty Grade coffee will really be remarkable compared to visiting the famous coffee chains such as Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts and Au Bon Pain on a daily basis. For example if you went to Starbucks every morning you would have to pay as much as $3.70 for a cup espresso and steamed milk, $4.00 for classic chocolate Café Mocha and a whopping $4.15 for an espresso blended with milkshake. With Our Coffee Barn your getting the same high-quality brew for pennies on the dollar.

Why settle for costlier ways of enjoying your cup of coffee when you an brew it at home and still get the same quality flavor and aroma minus the super expensive price?
